Attend A Committee Meeting!
Participating in a committee is an important way to have your voice heard and an interesting way to see what the future might hold for your neighborhood. Everyone who lives or works in the Uptown planning area is encouraged to participate.
Note: The Brown Act is a state law that governs "legislative bodies," such as Uptown Planners, to maintain transparency and accountability (GC §54950-54963). To help ensure against "serial communications" or deliberations outside of public meetings, it is requested that all communications be sent directly to the chair (by way of the contact information at the top of this page), as this person is designated to distribute information to everyone on the board. Thank you for your assistance.
For an overview about the Brown Act and Community Planning Groups from the City Attorney's office, see http://www.sandiego.gov/planning/community/pdf/cow/brownact102908.pdf
